Obama's Chinese Gun?
Ronald Reagan joked that BIG GOVERNMENT worked in three steps: 1. Regulate companies so they can't succeed 2. If one succeeds, legislate it into failure 3. Once it fails, subsidize it
There are a number of new initiatives that will surely destroy the gun manufacturing industry in the US: 1. A permanent assault ban 2. One gun a month laws 3. Torts suing manufacturers for gun violence 4. A national no carry law 5. Ammo restrictions... and many others! Since no one seems to care that this will destroy 2.4 million American jobs, here is another consideration: if we're so concerned about dependence on foreign oil, what about dependence on foreign guns?
What DC Dems apparently don't realize is that the US collector base already "susidizes" the American gun manufacturing industry. Without that collector base, forget about US military and law enforcement guns and advances in technology. Maybe we can beg China, Russia and Iran to make our guns for us?
If torts cause Bushmaster and Smith and Wesson to lose their liability insurance, at a time when the insurance industry is already on the brink, no amount of Government subisidies in the world will be able to catch up with the concurrent erosion of the collector base with other immanent bans. These manufacturers need a large installed base (US Consumers) over which to spread the R and D costs they use to benefit Law Enforcement and Military innovations and sales. A socialist model where the Government makes and controls all the guns? Good luck to our soldiers while they wait in the DMV line for their guns! Good luck to the Navy Seal Snipers and Obama's Secret Service Unit depending on the quality of their Iranian guns! Mr. Pres: OUR POLICE AND MILITARY need "green guns" as much as green energy-- guns MADE IN THE USA!
SO: ARE THE RUMORS TRUE THAT WE ARE SENDING OUR BRASS TO CHINA NOW? ABSOLUTELY! READ THIS:
"Dear Tim: Just had an interesting conversation. A customer of mine is the Armorer and Ordnance commander at Ft. XXXXXXX. I asked him about the rumors on DOD sending brass to China, and he said they are ABSOLUTELY TRUE. They have been given strict orders not to ship or sell any brass of any kind commercially any longer, and to buy up any competing with commercial manufacturers! He said there is a concentrated effort "from the top" to eliminate any government sources of brass, and to compete with all other sources. He also said that there are strict new orders that no enlisted personnel are allowed access to ammo other than on the base, and should turn in any they have at home! He just laughed when I asked if anyone is listening to that."
