Liberal Confusion
Liberals espousing causes like gay rights, abortion and gun bans have been facing a real crisis. Originalist interpretation of the Constitution would mean that the 2nd and 14th amendments could be "thrown out" by Liberal Judges instead of following the purposely rigorous process of actual Constitutional amendment. However, originalist interpretation is needed to argue that the fetus does not have a right to equal protection-- meaning liberals now need to have it both ways!
Another glaring lie and problem is the eroding Union and Minority bases of traditional Democrats. The liberal anti-gunners have to be very careful in Southern States where their anti-gun rhetoric pisses off hunters and sportsmen. San Francisco gay activists and Louisiana bayou hunters make strange bedfellows. IF THE 85 MILLION gun owners would all click HERE to join NRA, then VOTE, we'd put an end to the bans, concealed carry restrictions and liberal judicial removal of rights, once and for all.
Most ironically, "gun bans" have always really been forms of racial control, from time immemorial. The gun control act of 1968 was jokingly called the "black control act." The original LA bans were dubbed "LAtino control." WOMEN have also been a traditional target of banners for centuries, yet Liberals supposedly appeal to women's and minority rights!
But there is a much bigger problem. If judges-- in either party-- continue to create a new constitution without due process, the protections built into the rule of law will move us toward another civil war. Individuals were not supposed to have the power to change the Constitution, only 2/3 of Congress and 3/4 of the States, for a GOOD reason: preventing anarchy and the ego tripping of individual "interpreters." If the Originalist TRUTH means gun ownership and abortion, let both sides float amendments, NOT judges who promise to create separate republics like California!
