The Brady/Clinton cartel, including Hilary and the left wing liberal Dems, continually cite the Brady Law of federal background checks as "stopping crimes" by "preventing the sale of guns to thousands of criminals." THE BRADY LAW COSTS MILLIONS AND HAS NOT PREVENTED A SINGLE CRIME. OBJECTIVE STUDIES SHOW BOTH THIS AND THE STUPIDITY OF BANS IN GENERAL.
The problem with the Brady proponents, is that they LIE, just like Pelosi in calling a semi auto deer gun an "automatic" weapon to deceive the public. They are guilty of both definitional and logical deceit. First, Brady has not prevented a single gun purchase, because anyone denied can still buy at a gun show with no background check. Second, it does not follow logically that someone with a distant record at 18 is still a felon (see a couple ACTUAL examples from our dealer network below).
The Brady bunch would like you to believe that because NICS catalogs 1,000 denials, 1,000 crimes have been prevented! First, none of those denials stopped gun purchases. Second, over 80% of the denials are later approved with more research, a UPIN, fingerprinting, or papers showing the crime was old, removed, or incorrect. Here are a couple REAL examples:
Jim is a Vietnam Vet who lost an arm in combat. At 22 years old he was busted for a DUI after he started drinking to cope with his handicap. A few years ago, at 51 years old, three illegal immigrants surprised him in his yard, beat his wife to death with baseball bats, and beat him unconscious, leaving him for dead. He had both of his legs amputated. Two of the thugs were caught, one fled back to Mexico. The judge told him he might want to purchase a firearm until the third man was caught.
Jim failed to pass his Brady check. He was thus "logged" by the Brady idiots as "another successful crime prevented." When the dealer talked to NICS and told them he doubted a vet with one arm and no legs posed a serious risk to society, she politely said her hands were tied by this idiotic law. The judge was furious. He gave Jim the papers to prove his DUI was expunged decades ago. But no fear, another dealer tried to clear him, this time leaving his Social Security Number off the check, and he passed immediately! THINK ABOUT THIS THE NEXT TIME YOU READ ALL THE LIES FROM THE BRADY CAMP!
Stan is another Vietnam Vet. He was married at 18, went to serve, and when he returned fell into financial hardship due to numerous injuries. Social Services took his child until he could get his act together. He and his wife took the child during a visit, and kept her. Social Services filed federal kidnapping charges. The whole thing lasted a week, and the judge both returned the child to them and gave them both community service. Since the "crime" was technically punishable by over a year in jail, it stayed on his record.
Fast forward 40 years. Stan re-upped and flew hundreds of missions in Afghanistan and Iraq and is now a multiply-decorated vet and genuine hero. He still can't pass a Brady check! He has hundreds of souvenir weapons, a chest full of medals, but is listed by the Brady camp as "a child kidnapper refused guns." LOOK BEHIND THE STORIES AND YOU'LL FIND A BUNCH OF LYING IDIOTS WHO DON'T REALIZE GUNS SAVE LIVES AND PROTECT FAR MORE THAN THEY HARM! More people die on bicycles each year than from gunshots, let's ban bikes, and require millions of dollars of background checks to ride a bike. Let's also sue the bike manufacturers and retailers every time a biker is run over. THIS IS THE EXACT SAME LOGIC USED BY BRADY!!!!
