Both rifles shown above are 30-06. Which is the priority for the new Democratic bans? Surprising answer: BOTH! Pelosi and her counterparts are after ALL "automatic" rifles, their name for the Remington 750 Semi on the left. They also are after detachable mags and "cop killer" calibers above .30, which drags the Weatherby 30-06 bolt deer rifle on the right, onto the list.
New bills are also being drafted to ban "sniper rifles," which they are defining as 4x MOA ability-- basically anywhere on a human at 100 yards! This sounds "reasonable" when packaged as "highly accurate sniper rifle platforms," until you realize that "highly accurate" and "sniper" by their definition refer to just about any bolt action rifle you can buy today. There are almost unbelievable parts of some of these bills that define MOA in terms of scope magnification, not an accepted method by any industry standard, which actually just serves to make putting any scope above 2X on ANY rifle illegal!
Remember Moment of Angle also relates to bullet size, and even a .22 can have a very high MOA due to the almost unmeasurable "diameter/distance ratio" at closer ranges!
